The Unique Japanese Garden Landscaping
By Sam Cyrus

Japanese garden landscaping can be a perfect choice for your garden landscaping. So, if you are interested in it, there are three basic elements that you will need to familiarize yourself with. You will find these elements in any type of Japanese garden landscaping project. This is because they are thought to create an atmosphere of tranquility, harmony, reverence and purity. However, the method in which you use these elements can  a bit vary. Yet it allows you to put your own personal mark on your Japanese garden landscaping.

Water

The Japanese culture believes that the pond is the heart and soul of the garden. That is why most Japanese garden landscaping will incorporate a pond of some sort. You can include a tortoise island, waterfall or a stream speckled with stones within the pond. Water is also a peaceful element to add to your Japanese garden landscaping, whether it is the moving water of a stream or waterfall, or the still, calm water of a pond. Water garden landscaping is the first component of a successful Japanese outdoor landscape.

Plants

Plants are always be an essential element of any type of garden design. The same goes with Japanese garden landscaping. Plants are generally placed in a careful, intentional "conceal and reveal" method that is designed to renew one's spirit. Plants can also be used to enhance water garden landscaping, soften some hardscape and add color to the overall Japanese garden landscaping design. When you are considering trees to use in your Japanese garden landscaping, it is suggested that you choose

those that can be carefully pruned like some Asian cypress and pine.

Stone

Stone is the last element in Japanese garden landscaping. Stone must be chosen carefully, both for the type of stone that is used and where it is placed in the Japanese garden landscaping design. However, you can use a broad range of shapes and sizes. This is actually a good idea to combining different shapes and sizes to create Japanese garden landscaping as this practice is believed to create energy that is know as "chi". Make sure that you always place your stones in an odd number of groups for better aesthetic quality. You can also create paths or build walls with your outdoor landscape by using stones.

You can find few things more peaceful and serene than Japanese garden landscaping. You can now create your own version of this beautiful outdoor garden on your own with the many ideas you can find online.
